“Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” - Matthew 28:16-20

As followers of Jesus, we are called to go throughout the world to expand the kingdom of God and make disciples of all nations. As a church, we are passionate about serving the physical and spiritual needs of people in our city, throughout the nation, and around the world.

We have previously taken trips to Haiti, Guatemala, and Cincinnati participating in projects ranging from building stoves to working with kids to volunteering with medical clinics, all with the ultimate goal of introducing others to the Gospel. On a local level, we are actively partnering with the Tabitha’s Closet ministry to provide clothing to families in need in the Maineville/Morrow area.

While it might look different in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, we are actively praying about how the Lord wants to use us locally, nationally, and internationally to serve people and expand the kingdom.

UPCOMING MISSIONS OPPORTUNITIES

The Guatemala Mission team is gearing up for another trip this year!  We have not yet decided on an exact departure date, but it will likely be between June 10-13.  This will be a 7 day trip.  If you’re interested in stepping out in faith to reach the nations by going on this trip, please contact Jessica Edmonds at jessicaedmonds11@gmail.com.

Jessica will hold a virtual meeting about the mission trip in the near future for more information, so stay tuned!

previous missions opportunities

Guatemala

In the past several years, we have gone on trips with Adventures Guatemala to provide safer stoves for local Guatemalan families. As a part of these trips, we have also had the chance to run Vacation Bible School programs for local kids and to share our faith with multiple volunteers and families.

Cincinnati

The youth and multiple adults from the church have taken a couple of trips to Cincinnati, partnering with multiple ministries in the greater Cincinnati area to serve the community through the Awaken the City (and now Summer Impact) program operated by Hyde Park Community UMC. Through these programs, we have had opportunities to serve via activities like moving furniture and packing boxes, as well as to worship and grow our faith.

Haiti

In the past, we have also taken several trips in partnership with the Men for Missions branch of One Mission Society. These trips have given us the opportunity to contribute to the Bon Repos housing project, provide volunteer nursing services at Bethesda Medical Center, and pass out solar-powered radios supplied by Radio 4VEH. Through these projects, we have also had multiple opportunities to share testimonies, pray for fellow believers and non-believers alike, and love on so many people.
